From your first recipe to dinner.

Photograph a written recipe or cookbook page, choose images from your library, paste recipe text, add a supported website or social link, or write a recipe manually. The app shows which sources are currently available. A finished-dish photo alone cannot establish ingredient amounts and directions.

When that source is available in the app, paste a public link or use Share to send it to Tradish. Instagram capture can use the caption and, when available, the spoken method. YouTube capture uses the description and linked recipe pages. Private, inaccessible or unsupported posts may not import, and a video without enough recipe information may not produce a recipe. Keep the source link and check the recipe against it.

Typing a recipe in yourself and correcting a recipe you saved do not use a scan. Many recipe websites import for free. Reading a recipe from a photo, pasted text, a social post or another page may use a scan. Choosing how to add a recipe does not use a scan. Check your current allowance in the app; a scan allowance is separate from access to any paid tools.

Tradish keeps the source photo attached to the scanned recipe so you can compare the cooking copy with what was written. A source photo and a dish cover are different things. Keep your physical card and your own backup too; digitising it is not a reason to throw it away.

AI can misread handwriting, miss words in audio or misunderstand a source. Review ingredient amounts, units and directions against the original. Tradish can highlight things to check, but a recipe without a warning is not a guarantee of accuracy or food safety. Correcting a saved recipe does not use another scan.

Reading a recipe from a photo, page or post can hold a scan while it runs. The scan is used when the recipe is ready for you to review, not when an upload starts. If reading fails, the held scan is given back. If the app is still checking whether a submission was accepted, use its recovery or cookbook action rather than starting the same import again. A recipe marked for checking still uses its scan.

Check the offer shown in the app before you confirm a purchase. It identifies the price, billing period, included allowance and any trial you are eligible for. A scan pack is a one-time purchase; a subscription renews under its displayed terms. Do not assume a trial applies unless the App Store purchase sheet shows it. Manage an Apple subscription in your App Store account settings.

No. An empty scan balance does not delete your saved recipes. It only stops imports that need a scan. You can still write a recipe manually. Access to subscription features follows the terms of your plan; your scan balance and subscription status are shown separately.

Use Recipes for your collection and Cookbooks to group it. Search, tags, filters and pins help you return to the recipes you need. Results and actions respect what you are allowed to see or edit in a shared cookbook.

Open a saved recipe to read its ingredients and ordered method, adjust servings and enter cooking mode. Plan places recipes in your week, while Menus lets you keep a reusable group of meals. Check adjusted quantities yourself, especially for baking and ingredients added to taste.

From a recipe, choose the ingredients you need, check the servings and select a destination grocery list. A plan or menu can send its recipe ingredients to a list too. You can group items and check them while shopping. Shared lists follow their member permissions. Online ordering is separate and depends on the retailers and regions offered in the app.

Yes. A cookbook owner can invite people with the appropriate role and review contributions. Viewing, editing and contributing are different permissions. If a contribution uses the keeper's scan balance, the invitation flow explains that responsibility and asks for acceptance. Review the audience before sending an invitation or sharing a link.

Yes. Add a photo of the dish, keep useful notes and record a variation without confusing it with the source. The original card, an imported source image and your chosen cover serve different purposes. You can choose a cover for a recipe you are allowed to edit.

Recipe tools offer contextual questions, translation and nutrition information where available. They can use AI and may have access or usage limits. Nutrition is an estimate, not medical advice; check allergies and dietary requirements against ingredients and product labels. Voice and notification features require the relevant permission.

AI providers process the content needed for features such as reading a recipe from a photo, page or post. Your private collection is different from a member-shared cookbook or a deliberately published recipe. Discover shows public content; sharing a link can make a recipe accessible to its recipients. Check the audience before sharing or publishing. We do not use private recipes for marketing without your explicit permission.

Discover contains deliberately public recipes and cookbooks. Saving a recipe creates a copy in your collection; it is not a promise that later edits by the publisher will update your copy. If a save is still being checked, follow the status shown rather than submitting it again.

A saved recipe has a print or PDF option. Account data export is a separate action in settings and may require recent sign-in. Follow the availability and download instructions shown there, including any download expiry. Keep your own backups of important cards and photos. Contact support if an export is unavailable.

Download Tradish for iPhone from the App Store. The website provides product information, help and supported public or shared recipe pages; it is not the full mobile cookbook. Available features can depend on your app version, account, permissions and source availability.
